Service Plans: We have heard of many issues with warranties when customers add aftermarket parts. We are working on solutions which will provide customer confidence and protection when adding aftermarket parts to their vehicles.

AMDA Garage: This will be the place where members share their tribal knowledge of business, technology, service and other related info. Through blogs, Video Conferencing and Face to Face meetings members will be able to create their own community of friends.

Financing:  Financing vehicles, builds and parts adds another income source to dealers. AMDA is developing a list of financing solutions for you, the dealer, to offer to your customers for the purchase of vehicles as well as accessory packages from necessary repairs to full blown customization. As membership grows we will be able to negotiate the best rates.

Business Insurance Solutions: As with Financing and Group purchases, we will be developing a list of insurance provider that not only protect your business but save you money on coverages like Shopkeepers or Garage Keepers Policies.

Shop In a Box™:  This is another tool in the works….By connecting the right minds we could enable those who are starting a new shop or buying out an existing one the assistance in  finding products and services like the right accountant, Point of Sale software, parts identification program, shopkeepers insurance and other tools to make the business successful. This info would help you start up and/or run your business smoothly, profitably and more fun. By implementing the correct essentials, you can focus on doing what you do best.  The AMDA “Shop in a Box™” would make your life easier and your business more successful as quality information enables you to move your business toward the next level of profitability.

Group Buying:   The AMDA has negotiated with suppliers to give AMDA members buying power for services, products and programs. As opportunities or demands arise, we will continue to add to your savings. As the association membership grows, we will have more leverage to lower your business costs.

EDUCATION

Knowledge is POWER! When finished, this section will give you education, information and with the help of members up to date news on our industry. We are planning to have blogs on many themes to address your concerns and answer your questions. There will be business educational sessions at our conferences where you can learn and interact with your peers. We will focus on topics that will help you manage your business and improve your technical knowledge of services and products new and old. We will have some of the best minds in our industry helping with this who will continually improve and upgrade our content.

AMDA TECH CERTIFICATION

Dealers have spoken and we are listening, It seems that everyone is having difficulty finding qualified staff; sales, parts and techs. Our goal is to develop a program similar to the ASE program in the auto world which will provide training for new and existing staff. This should allow dealers the ability to confidently hire new staff knowing that they have passed a rigorous series of exams that has tested their working knowledge. The AMDA certification program will be a combination of book and working knowledge that will identify the techs’ level of knowledge and ability. This program will be created by industry professionals who will update the content and quality providing a high industry standard: For the Industry...From the Industry.

JOB POSTINGS

We want your AMDA website to be a clearinghouse for job and resume postings. After the AMDA Certification program is in place, Dealers will be able to find qualified staff who they can rely on to provide quality service to their customers. AMDA Certified Techs can seek out employment from quality AMDA member dealers. We plan to link with other employment sites to provide a greater number of jobs and applicants.

AMDA “RIDES™” – Rider Defense School

Dealers can capitalize on the business that a new rider can generate! A certified Rider Training program which will provide an additional profit center and drive new riders to your shop for their new bike, parts, service, accessories, clothing, safety wear and camaraderie. This is another program on our action list which we want to provide to members. We will be discussing this with members as the association develops and grows.

GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS

Legislation has a huge and growing affect on the Powersports market. The outcome of these legislative initiatives frequently impacts the way products are made, distributed and sold. The AMDA plans to develop a regulatory program to address issues vital to our industry.
