The Deluxe Corporation Foundation awarded a $5,000 grant to support the Workforce Development program at Erie Neighborhood House.<\/p>\n
The Erie House program offers instruction and hands-on support through its Pathways to Success pre-certification courses in healthcare, manufacturing, supply chain logistics.<\/p>\n
A robust technology center with skill-specific courses and open lab hours also supports digital literacy and software skills necessary for success in the workplace.<\/p>\n

Students are able to develop basic skills through a contextualized approach, building a solid foundation for college and career opportunities and a blueprint for earning a family-sustaining wage.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur Workforce Development program goes far beyond giving adult learners tools for success,\u201d explains Melissa Flores, senior director of programs at Erie House. \u201cWe help our students learn how to use those tools, and we\u2019re here to support them and provide them with the confidence they need to excel even after they\u2019ve advanced to a certification program.\u201d<\/p>\n
