The Story
In 1972 a few friends began a challenge to see who could get from Hyannis Harbor to Nantucket harbor the quickest on their sailboats. The regatta was born.
The Race
For close to 50 years, the regatta continues to grow. Pursuit format, point-to-point, divisions for cruisers and racers, top-notch race management.

Figawi is a competitive sailing regatta in Nantucket Sound that gives back to local Cape Cod and Nantucket Charities. With 50 years of sailing excellence, decades of local philanthropy, and benefiting over 100 local charities, Figawi wants you to join in on the fun!
