HISTORY

In 1986, the Figawi Board of Governors wanted to add a happening on this side of Nantucket Sound and increase their ability to support local charitable organizations. So, the night before the 16^th Annual Figawi Race Weekend, a grand gala was planned. Due to its instant popularity that year, it became known as the 1^st Annual Figawi Charity Ball and thanks to the community’s support, presented the Cape Cod YMCA with a generous donation.

MISSION

Figawi Charities provides the opportunity for small organizations to request funds for needs they may have that often get overlooked by larger foundations. While our mission is broad in scope, it is focused on our local community.
