DANIEL E. FURTADO VETERANS RESOURCE CENTER OPENS ITS DOORS!

Foundation Board Members Mike Frangedakis, MG Kent Hillhouse, USA, Ret., Dr. Francis Harvey, former 19th Secretary of the US Army, Bob Whittaker, Jackie Rose and Ellen Manzo join West Valley College Chancellor Schmitt, Dean Schelcher, Campbell Veterans Memorial Chair, James Free and Dan Furtado, along with other dignitaries and guests for the dedication of the West Valley College Daniel E. FurtadoVeterans Resource Center.
This newly dedicated center will offer Veterans educational benefits, financial assistance, medical referral, technological advantages and support additional needs. This will also be a place where Veterans can meet together and discuss common issues and concerns. This is a great facility and very much needed, especially for our returning men and women from Afghanistan and other deployments. An immediate focus of this valuable center is to help returning service members with assimilating back into civilian life, a process that can be very difficult for some.
The new center is being named in honor of the President and CEO of the Veterans Memorial in Campbell and 30 year Army Veteran, Dr. Daniel E. Furtado.
