2021-April-23: Legislative Briefing, State of Michigan’s Bio-Industry

Michigan’s biosciences industry is top 15 in size domestically and with a strong legacy in research, innovation, R&D, and manufacturing.

The briefing will define the breadth and key elements of the bio-industry and underscore its sizeable economic value to the state. In addition, policy priorities on how to grow the bio-industry will be shared, along with legislative best practices from other regions.

The briefing is open to elected officials and staff, policymakers, economic development practitioners, and other stakeholders with an active interest in the biosciences. An excellent opportunity to (re)familiarize oneself with a major economic driver and get an understanding of the current state of the Michigan’s bio-industry.
