\n\t\tWhat is AWBS\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

All Well-Being Services (AWBS) is a 501 (C)(3) human services organization that has provided services to residents of Wayne County for over sixty-five years. A CARF accredited organization, AWBS provides an extensive range of evidence-based services for children, adults, seniors and families. \u00a0We provide a variety of therapeutic, prevention, and vocational experiences. We are committed to helping people by offering them quality health and human services. \u00a0At All Well-Being Services (AWBS), we are committed to improving the lives of the people we serve.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tHistory\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

All Well-Being Services has been providing services to adults and families for sixty-one years! We were founded by the Junior League of Detroit in 1953 and have operated continuously since that time. We are a well-established and solid organization with significant impact. We serve 18,000 adults and their families each year in 21 Michigan counties, with the majority of our programs operating in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.<\/p>\n

We have received continuous accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 1991. In 2012, AWBS received the highest level of CARF accreditation possible. In 2009, AWBS was named Runner-Up in Crain’s Detroit Business Best Managed Nonprofit contest. AWBS is governed by a diverse, community-based \u00a0Board of Directors who live and work in the metropolitan Detroit area; members come from the municipal, business, utility, health care consumer, legal, human resources, and financial sectors.<\/p>\n

Additionally, people who receive services and their families are represented on our Board of Directors. We are always looking for community volunteers to serve on our boards and committees. If you are interested, please contact us.<\/p>\n

Our organization works closely with some of our community’s most vulnerable adults and their families to provide them the support they need to live independently and with dignity.\u00a0\u00a0 We provide quality services with highly qualified staff. They are educated, credentialed and receive ongoing training to enhance their skills. Most importantly, AWBS professionals are caring, kind and resourceful individuals who approach their responsibilities with enthusiasm and compassion. That is what makes our services exceptional.<\/p>\n

Roger is the Chairperson for AWBS having served as chair for five years.\u00a0 He is a certified public accountant licensed since 1979.\u00a0 In 2018, Roger received the Diversity and Inclusion award from the Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA).\u00a0 He received an award for \u201cfor his contributions and commitment to the students and alumni of the Black Medical Association\u201d from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2019..<\/p>\n

Roger has served as Finance and Budget Directors for the City of Detroit.\u00a0 He also served as the Auditor General for the City.\u00a0 Over the past twenty years he has taught accounting at Wayne State University and Wayne County Community College.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"GHP_8197-46\"\n\t

Dennis brescoll<\/h3>\n

Dennis Brescoll has been an attorney in civil practice for 37 years specializing in labor, civil rights and personal injury law.\u00a0\u00a0He has served on the Board of Directors of AWBS since 2003 and was previously served as Board Chair.\u00a0\u00a0Mr. Brescoll has a BBA and MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a JD from Wayne State University School of Law.\u00a0\u00a0He is married and has four grown children.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"image002\"\n\t

Emma J. White is a retired educator.\u00a0 She has served as a board member of AWBS since 2014.\u00a0 Emma believes the Board is the \u201cwings\u201d of an organization because it assists in ensuring the vision and mission is sustained and provides any needed support that secures its success.\u00a0 Emma is married.\u00a0 She has two adult sons one of whom is being served by AWBS.\u00a0 She has one grandson.\u00a0 She resides in Detroit.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"GHP_8195-46\"\n\t

Myron Liner<\/h3>\n

Myron L. Liner is a retired Vice President of United Way for Southeastern Michigan. He was responsible for the distribution to service agencies of funds collected in the annual United Way campaign and for on-going relations with these agencies. Since retirement in 1994, he has served on the boards of several of these agencies and as an officer of the United Way Retirees Association, a national association of retired United Way professionals. He holds three degrees from Wayne State University, including an Ed.D.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Tiffany\n\t

Tiffany Kelsey<\/h3>\n

Tiffany is employed by Vista Maria as the Director of Human Resources and Quality.\u00a0\u00a0Prior to Vista Maria, Tiffany was the Vice President of Administration & Operations for New Center Community Services where she was responsible for the oversight of human resources, transportation, facilities and clinical operations. Tiffany holds an MSA in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science-Accounting from Georgia State University. Tiffany has more than 20 years of accounting experience and she has her PHR, SHRM-CP certification.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"my\n\t

Chontay Glenn<\/h3>\n

As a dual degree PMHNP\/Nurse Educator, Chontay Glenn is astutely aware of the provisions of education and healthcare in academia and the community and the disparities that continue in medically under-served environments.<\/p>\n

Having worked in urban and suburban areas, serving diverse populations, some with expansive resources and others with limited psychosocial resources, she understands there is a need for more culturally sensitive advance practice nurses that utilizes a holistic model in health care to improve quality, collaborations across professions and improve positive health outcomes; achieving this in the College of Nursing at Wayne State University is the primary objective for me.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"GHP_8847-Edit-46\"\n\t

Jimmie Jefferson<\/h3>\n

For over 24 years, Jimmie Jefferson is an experienced Information Technology Professional and a true leader in the field. He takes joy and pride in bringing new technologies as well as leadership to the ever-changing world of technology.<\/p>\n

As an Information Technology manager for Flex N Gate manufacturing, he has been innovative with introducing cost saving technologies that allowed the plants to recover quickly from any related downtime.<\/p>\n

In his spare time, he is an active member of Phi Beta Sigma where he volunteers his time to serve his community. Jimmie enjoys time with his family and golfing.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"GHP_8883-46-2\"\n\t

In his current position, Mr. Booth is responsible for driving strategic sales for Elite Imaging Systems. His current responsibilities include building and closing sales opportunities within the City of Detroit and Detroit Metro area, retaining and expanding existing business, managing the direct P&L and financials for his dedicated accounts, as well as managing customer contract & partnership agreements; account planning; and providing leadership & account support for the management and delivery consultants engaged on the account.<\/p>\n

In his role of advancing responsibility, Mr. Booth drove new customer business via managed services engagements, and built relationships at all levels of the organizations he managed. As he drove more business for Elite, his responsibilities increased to building, managing and driving the effectiveness of strategic accounts to increase revenue and market share by adopting Elite’s Services and Products for each client. He is well versed in helping IT, as well as Sales and Marketing business units reach their goals.<\/p>\n

Kefentse also owns Street Light Dreams, LLC. Mr. Booth saw a need to create a lane to help self-published authors with the various road maps within the publishing industry. Dawn\u00a0Rucker became President & CEO of All Well-Being Services in 2015 after serving as the Director of Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder Services.\u00a0\u00a0Dawn\u00a0is a Mental Health Clinical Practice Administrator and Leader recognized for both her clinical and business success.\u00a0 She is a Licensed Master Social Worker and has certification in Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counseling.<\/p>\n

Dawn\u00a0has a solid track record of providing exceptional clinical services while effectively incorporating a profit model. She has a passion for mentoring her staff and prides herself with leading others in their professional advancement. Her commitment to persons served and her vision have been reflected in her advocacy efforts and the numerous programs she has developed to provide needed, innovative services and inclusive services. Under her leadership, AWBS has embraced a commitment to Trauma Informed Care and serving the LGBT community.<\/p>\n

LaToya Garcia-Henry is the Quality & Compliance Director at All Well-Being Services. LaToya has 15 years of experience in the Community Mental Health arena along with 18 years of experience within quality, compliance and monitoring. She\u2019s passionate about helping her community through ensuring that the populations served at AWBS receives premier quality integrated services with respect from a well-trained culturally competent workforce.<\/p>\n

LaToya has a knack for building relationships of trust and to enlist the participation of others in order to accomplish a task. She\u2019s inspired, resourceful and flexible, has the aptitude to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive attitude and strong work ethic. LaToya played an instrumental part in 6 CARF accreditation cycles thus far resulting in receiving successful 3-year accreditations.<\/p>\n

LaToya was born and raised in Detroit via the beautiful island of Trinidad & Tobago. She\u2019s an avid music listener and loves live bands, concerts and plays. She also enjoys quality time with family and friends.
