This is commonly referred to as the &#8220;State Charter Supplement.&#8221; The supplement is calculated based on the average total revenue of the five school districts with the <em>lowest<\/em> assessed valuation. In practice, this means that the state charter schools receive less per pupil than the average traditional public school.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<a href=\"\" target=\"_self\" role=\"button\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDONATE<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t$<noscript>1,325<\/noscript>\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">per pupil gap<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, the per pupil for state charter schools was <strong>$8,092<\/strong>, compared to <strong>$9,417<\/strong> as reported by the Georgia Department of Education. This per pupil gap amounts to a significant hurdle for our schools ranging from competitive teacher salaries to classroom resources.<\/p>\n<p>Individual, foundation and corporate giving support the mission and strategic focus areas of the State Charter Schools Foundation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Support Our Work Every dollar and every donor counts.
