{"id":78,"date":"2018-07-16T18:20:41","date_gmt":"2018-07-16T18:20:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.neoninspire.com\/whatcombusinessalliance\/?p=78"},"modified":"2018-07-16T18:20:41","modified_gmt":"2018-07-16T18:20:41","slug":"job-shadow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.neoninspire.com\/whatcombusinessalliance\/job-shadow\/","title":{"rendered":"Learn about Job Shadow in Whatcom County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Whatcom Business Alliance has partnered with the Junior Achievement to\u00a0assist in the implementation of the Job Shadow curriculum in local high schools and businesses.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_4241\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4241\" class=\"wp-image-4241 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.whatcombusinessalliance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/YOUTH_07-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-4241\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Over 200 Whatcom County High School Youth in attendance at the WBA Youth Engagement Initiative launch in February 2018.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong><em>In review<\/em><\/strong> |\u00a0 On February 7, 2018 the Whatcom Business Alliance (WBA) launched the Youth Engagement Initiative at a <strong>kickoff event<\/strong> attended by <strong>five area high schools with over 250 students<\/strong> in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>Connected with the launch of the initiative is a <strong>partnership with Junior Achievement<\/strong> (JA) that will bring JA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniorachievement.org\/web\/ja-usa\/ja-programs?p_p_id=56_INSTANCE_abcd&amp;p_p_lifecycle=0&amp;p_p_state=maximized&amp;p_p_mode=view&amp;p_p_col_id=ja-column-1&amp;p_p_col_count=1&amp;_56_INSTANCE_abcd_groupId=14516&amp;_56_INSTANCE_abcd_articleId=19556\"><strong>Job Shadow curriculum<\/strong><\/a> into the area high schools.
