VOLUNTEER

Our volunteers are the heart of our organization.  Volunteering at the Windsor Art Center is an excellent way to meet artists, performers, and lovers of all the arts while making a great impact on the Windsor community and beyond.

We are currently seeking volunteers in the following areas.  For more information about any of these opportunities or others, please email us at info@windsorartcenter.org.

  • Gallery Welcome Desk Spend a morning, afternoon, or evening welcoming visitors to the gallery. This is a great way to meet fellow arts supporters and learn more about the work in our gallery and our upcoming events. 
  • Marketing Committee Members Help us spread the word about our visual and performing arts events!  Our Marketing Committee meets once a month and covers everything from press releases, distributing postcards and posters, our website and social media, and more! This is a great opportunity for those with experience in marketing who have a passion for the arts and also for those who simply want to help spread the word! 
  • Database and Website Expert Do you have a strong background in computers and technology?  Are you passionate about the arts and creating community?  This could be the perfect opportunity for you to get involved!  We are currently seeking an expert to help us build our member and donor database as well as someone to assist in maintaining our website. 
  • Hospitality Committee Members Like to plan events?  This committee may be the perfect fit for you.  Help us plan our opening receptions and receptions for our monthly music events.  This is a great way to meet fellow arts supporters and also play an active role in making our events come to life!  Committee meets once a month. 
  • Development Committee Members Help us keep our programming FREE and donation-based!  The Windsor Art Center prides itself on providing FREE programming in the visual and performing arts to the town of Windsor, Greater Hartford, and beyond.  Help us in this mission through our grant writing and fundraising efforts on the Development Committee.  This committee meets once a month. 
  • Curatorial Committee Members Are you an artist or art-lover who wants to help plan our visual arts exhibitions?  Our Curatorial Committee meets once a month and covers all aspects of planning our visual arts exhibitions from selecting artists to showcase to planning supporting art talks and events to helping hang and organize the exhibitions
